Of all the zodiac signs, a Taurus is most likely to have a timeless wedding. The Venus-ruled sign is all about romance and beauty, so they probably dream of hosting an elevated event that celebrates their new union in style. Known for its symbol, Taurus, Taurus has a slow and steady demeanor, and they’ll be thinking a lot about who their partner for life will be, as well as what their eventual wedding day will look like. But once this Earth sign knows they’re all in, Taurus will want to host a luxurious experience to celebrate this milestone with the one they love.
“A Taurus would take a traditional approach to wedding planning and choose a classic and elegant venue,” shares astrologer Julia Topaz, founder of Look Up the Stars Astrology. “They’ll take their time planning the wedding and may even drag their feet. But in the end, the result will be elegant, simple and very well organized.” Sensual experiences around food and aesthetics are incredibly important to this sign, so it’s no wonder they’ll invest the most effort in planning these details. “When it comes to food, atmosphere and drinks – this is the zodiac sign that will place them as primary concerns,” adds astrologer Kyle Thomas.

Final wedding planning checklist and timeline
Wedding Planning
“The practical Taurus likes to take a slow, methodical approach to all planning – especially a major event like a wedding,” shares Thomas. “While they’re ruled by Venus and have a knack for luxury and opulence, they’ll probably also want to make sure they don’t go too far into the red when it comes to event planning. Being an Earth sign, they’ll probably want to draw up a budget and make sure they not only get a ‘deal’ but also balance where to splurge and where to cut corners.”
Wedding planning might take a little longer for a Taurus, but they’ll take their time to make it happen. They’ll probably book a venue well in advance to give themselves plenty of lead time. “This zodiac sign is more inclined toward long-term relationships, taking their time with a longer engagement than some of the other zodiac signs,” Thomas explains.
Wedding season
According to the astrological calendar, there are a few times of the year when Taurus is best positioned for romance and marriage. Thomas shares that if Taurus wants to choose an ideal wedding date, they would consider tying the knot during Taurus season, which occurs between April 20 and May 20, during Virgo season, which spans August 23 to September 22, and during Scorpio season, which lands between October 23 and November 21. If a Taurus wants to plan a winter wedding, consider booking the venue near a full moon in Virgo, which occurs each year between February 19 and March 20.
Wedding venue
Which zodiac sign is most likely to get married at a castle? You can bet on Taurus. “Taurus will bet heavily on the romantic and classic ambiance of a venue,” says Thomas. “They tend to prefer more opulent settings and may be inclined to have a major component that includes nature.” The Earth sign will likely host their wedding ceremony on the grounds of their venue because they love the outdoors.
Wedding decor
When it comes to wedding decor, a Taurus will favor all things beautiful and timeless. Topaz shares that Taurus will enjoy an aesthetic that feels classic and feminine, so you can expect calligraphy paper goods, lots of flowers, and elegant accents throughout this sign’s ceremony and reception. As for the shades used to ground the design? “A neutral color palette of cream, green and brown responds to their down-to-earth character,” suggests astrologer Lisa Stardust.
Wedding food and drink
Being a foodie is one of the key traits of a Taurus, so you can expect them to put a lot of thought into what they’ll be serving at the biggest party of their lives. You won’t have to worry about going hungry at this wedding, as the Taurus will make sure there will be delicious bites available from the moment guests arrive until the after party is over. Their love of sweets could be translated to cocktail hour with a delicious signature sip. Stardust says Taurus might choose a Love Potion cocktail for the menu, which “represents the innately sweet nature of the romantic sign Taurus.” A Taurus loves a hearty meal, so the astrologer notes that steak will definitely be on the reception menu.
Wedding cake
“Taureans are inclined toward the good things in life, but they’re also down-to-earth,” Stardust shares. Their wedding cake will represent this with a beautifully designed cake with a more classic bent. An elegant tiered cake with beautiful sugar ruffles would be to the Taurus’ liking, but the sign could keep their stately design in a classic shade of white instead of opting for a more dramatic coloring.
Wedding fashion
When it comes to wardrobe, Taurus loves romantic designs, comfortable silhouettes and high-quality materials in their everyday lives, and the same ethos would extend to their wedding day. “Taurus would opt for a luxurious, timeless dress that showcases their natural beauty,” offers Topaz. “Less is more.” They might even take a vintage approach to fashion, Stardust explains. “To embrace their Venusian feelings, their wedding dress [would be] made of chiffon in a vintage 1920s style in a blush or pink color,” she says.
For a Taurus groom, “the suit would be classic with a splash of color to match the dress,” adds Stardust. The practical sign might not have many accessories, but would be likely to swap the heels for a pair of more danceable shoes later in the evening.
Honeymoon destination
Once the wedding day is over, Taurus will be thrilled with a post-nuptial retreat to a place where they can experience new food, culture and art. A trip to Italy – where all three key elements are offered – would be a perfect destination for Taurus and his or her new spouse to visit. “Bulls are extremely indulgent, which is why they’ll travel luxuriously – business class if they must – to a place rich in artistic history like Venice,” says Stardust. However, the sign may delay travel by a week or two. The married couple may need some time to recover from their wedding celebration before heading off on their next big adventure.
